      The fact that John's wedding had a witness that was a Christopher Prout, I think the Christopher Prout who was son of John and Judith, bapt Blackawton 1784 suggests he may have been closely related to this family. I am not aware of John and Judith having a son named John but there is a 8 year gap between 2 of the 4 baptisms for children of theirs that I do know of. Maybe they moved away from Blackawton before returning to the parish.
