      Given that John was aged about 42 one or both of them may have been married before.
      A Jone ADAMS married a John CORNISH in Dartmouth in 1687, a Joane MILWARD married Joseph CORNISH in Chudleigh ... there were too many Jone CORNISHes to be sure which this one was without a thorough study into the CORNISH family in the Marldon area.
