    • John named in his daughter Margarie's marriage record, burial of a Mary wife of John in Abbotskerswell a couple of years before John remarried suggests Margarie's mother was probably called Mary.

      Further research to be done but it seems likely:
      John married Mary EWEN in Wolborough in 1592 or 3 (image to see, transcribed data varies concerning year), and daughter Margery was baptised there in 1597.
      Although Abbotskerwell PRs only survive from 1607 (and the earliest surviving BT for the parish is 1610) and so the family could have been there all the time, the John, Mary and daughter Margery who married / were baptised in Wolborough appear not to have remained there, as there are no further marriages or burials for that family.
