    Occupation 1841
    Dress maker
    Died Aft 1871
    • Found in the 1871 census so still living then. Unfortunately Elizabeth Johns was a very common name in West Devon and Cornwall, making it difficult to find Elizabeth. She does not appear to have died in St Budeaux, where she was living in 1871.
There was a death of an Elizabeth Johns registered in Newton Abbot RD (where she might have died if she had returned to her birthplace) in Sep Qtr 1874; unfortunately no age seems to have been noted (it is neither in the original index, on FreeBMD, nor the GRO online index). However, burial registers show a 78 year old Elizabeth Johns buried in Combeinteignhead in the third quarter of 1874, so I believe we can discount this as a possibility.
