The writer forgot to include the surname, but I am pretty sure it is the burial of this Grace, as I was expecting to find the burial of Grace, the wife of Matthew Gotham junior between the birth of her last child, which was probably not long before his baptism on 4 Jan 1737/38 and her husband remarrying on 10 Feb 1739/40 (assuming I am right that it was Matthew junior who married Betty Pearse, and not his elderly father who became a widower in 1703). There is no other burial that could be hers in Morchard Bishop in this interval.
