      There was another burial of a John Gotham in 1799. I believe one of the burials must be the uncle of this John (I know of no other Gothams in this part of Devon than Thomas, grandfather of this John and his descendants). As there is documentation pointing to 'Uncle John' being alive in 1794 his burial must be the 1799 one, and the 1781 burial this John.
