"Brought on:

Gottam of Do [*] __ 18th Janry _ Do [1743] _ [in col. with note of Indenture / Articles] Do [not clear if ditto refers to Com[mon]. Ind[enture]. or to Com.Ind & Coun[te]r p[ar]t _ [Term of Years] 7 yrs fr[om] 1st Do [Date**] _ Do _ [Money given £50 or Under] 12 _ _ [Duty 6d p £] _ 6 _ [columns for money above £50 and duty on it blank]"
Meaning: * - the vast majority of entries on the page show 'son of ...'. Where there is no father named, I think 'of Do' means of the place just mentioned, i.e. that Thomas was, like Lawrence, of Stoke upon Tern, not that he was 'of' the name above (in Thomas's case the name above was one Richard Rowley whose son became an apprentice in Shrewsbury; when Thomas became an orphan his guardian was his uncle Walker, so no obvious family or place link to a Richard Rowley.
** - I think this refers to the date of the indenture, i.e. Jan 1743.
(from image on Ancestry, TNA ref. IR 1/50, f.195)
Died Aft 1773 - His wife shown as 'w of' when she died, implying Thomas was still living.
