  Offspring	In 1757 a Nathaniel was baptised in West Teignmouth, the entry in the PR showing he was the son of Thomas and Patience, but there seems to have been no such couple! I think Nathaniel must have been the son of Thomas and Martha or of this couple, Timothy and Patience. The evidence seems more strongly weighted towards Nathaniel being the son of Thomas and Martha (see full argument for this on Nathaniel's page) * Either way, the Nathaniel who married Elizabeth Whidbourne clearly was the son of Thomas and Martha. * i.e. if the Nathaniel baptised in 1757 was the son of Timothy and Patience he probably died unmarried and childless.
