Richard ISSELL
Set As Default Person -
Name Richard ISSELL Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 3 Oct 1558 St. Andrew’s Church, Ipplepen, Devon, England
- From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 13 Dec 2019)
"The iii of October was cristned Rycd the sonne of Rycd yselighe"
Gender Male Died - Most likely died before his brother another Richard was baptised about 14 months after his baptism. It was far from unknown at this time for 2 (or even more) living children to have the same Christian name, but I think even more likely for the name to be given to another where the 1st had died. As baptisms seem to have usually been within a few days of birth at this period and as there was only about 14 months between the 2 Richards this also suggests the first had died. (Ipplepen burial register does not survive for this period)
