Elizabeth Jane CHANDLER
Set As Default Person -
Name Elizabeth Jane CHANDLER Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born 25 Dec 1884 Sheerness, Sheppey, Kent, England
- From age given in death registration index and in the 1911 census. There were several Elizabeth Jane CHANDLERs born about 1885, but the census just shows the one in Plymouth and her age fits perfectly.
Her birthplace in the census shows it was this Elizabeth Jane:

- About 1870 from the 1911 census where shown as having completed 40 years of marriage, having had 5 children of whom, tragically, only 1 was still living (clearly must have been their daughter Elizabeth Jane who was living with them at the time of the census)

If like daughter Elizabeth Jane the other children were born and died in Sheppey Reg District then possibly the children of James and Elizabeth are:
a male, born and died q1 1886;
Beatrice Victoria, born q1 1887 and died q2 1887
Albert Edward, born q2 1890 and died q4 1890
Although there were quite a few Chandler children born in Sheppey RD from 1880 (15 between then and 1891), there was none between 1871 and 1879. It seems probable that James and Elizabeth would have had children born in this period, in which case they must have lived elsewhere, possibly Plymouth where they married, or possibly in several different places.
