    • I had thought this John might have been the son of Humphrey, baptised in East Ogwell (very near Denbury) in 1704. However, since discovering there was a John baptised in Denbury at a suitable date, and moreover that he had a brother Hugh, the name that John gave his first son, I am sure I was wrong.
