  	From the NZ Government website 'Births, Deaths and Marriages Online' (historical records section) "The Presbyterian Church, Taumarunui, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Tuesday, June 3, when Miss Esther Elizabeth Gotham Potter, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gotham Potter, of Port Chalmers, was married to Mr. William Charles Davis, second son of Mr and Mrs. C. W. Davis, Taumarunui. The Rev. C. Brierly performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in silver corsage, with diamante trimming, and a peaked skirt of white georgette. She wore a veil of net, with a coronet of orange blossom, and carried a shower bouquest. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Ida Gotham Potter, of Wellington, and by Miss Marjorie Isabelle Davis, sister of the bridegroom."
