(Age ~ 46 years) Married - Can't be sure that all (or any) of the children were those of Erutha, Robert may have had more than 2 wives. Sometimes when 2 living children were given the same Christian name they were the offspring of different wives.
I am also not sure of the birth order of the children. Quite often the order in which children were mentioned in a will matches that of baptisms, but with John the elder being mentioned after John the younger in Robert's will it is clear that that was not the case here.
In 1591 an Erutha Duck was baptised in Wolborough, son of John. Given that Robert's daughter Johan married a Richard Duck, could this use of this unusual name be because she was a granddaughter of Johan, named after her great grandmother? It seems likely though that if Robert had a grandson John Duck born by the time he wrote his will (21 Jan 1576/7) he would have left him a bequest. There was often more than one marriage between families, this may indicate another link between Robert's wife Erutha and the Ducks.
