      Although his father's name is not as given at marriage, the occupation is right, and the only other Thomas Barber who seems to have been born around the same time doesn't match on father's name or occupation,

      I think the death was probably this Thomas. Whilst other Thomases was born around the same time in the Salford / Manchester area, this was the only Thomas born in Liverpool. My main hesitation in linking the death to this Thomas is that from the burial it is clear he was in the workhouse, and the Thomas in the workhouse in the 1901 census was shown as a plumber. I think, though, that it must be this Thomas with the occupation misrecorded.
