Also, although Roberts is a common surname the following is the only Percy S born anywhere in England or Wales, 1899-1901, and both date and place are good fit with date in 1939 register and likely birthplace.

This fits in with the census entries, which show he was with grandparents Joseph and Annie (although described as their son in 1901, he is shown as their grandson in 1911). Their eldest daughter was Mary Ann - from the names of parents given at Percy's baptism I suspect she was his mother. Hopefully Joseph his grandfather was not also his father!
