GRO ref: Bill, Lizzie q2 1893 Cheadle RD 6b 376; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Degg (Caverswall was in Cheadle RD)
The only marriage or death registrations for a Lizzie Bill, any where in England or Wales after 1893 are a marriage in 1897, clearly not this Lizzie, and deaths of Lizzies born about 1885 and in 1882, so it seems reasonable to suppose that 'Lizzie' married or died with a different name.
The mother's maiden name in the birth registration of Lizzie shows she was the daughter of Henry and Sarah, and shown as Elizabeth in the 1901 census, so it is reasonable to suppose she may have married and subsequently used this formal version of her name.
