      If it was her husband John who went on to marry Agnes then he must have been widowed and so it probably was this Mary, but if I have merged the marriages of more than one John then there are several other Marys who could have been buried in 1739.

      ** I can't be sure that the marriage was of this John. **
      However, a Mary died earlier in 1731/2, which would fit as John's previous wife.
      It may be, though, that this was a marriage of the John who married Agnes in 1740; a Mary died in 1739, it that was Mary nee Langley it would leave her husband free to remarry to Agnes.
      ** It may be that it was this John who married Mary Langley, and that he also went on to marry Agnes **
      (that would explain the lack of a baptism for 'ther other' John; however, I think I saw a note in the register about them being poorly kept - I need to check when that was)
