  	GRO ref: Agatha, Bito M C to Margaret Agatha or Brislem [sic] or Gotham q2 1951 Liverpool S. 10d 799 The surname indexed for women when they marry is that at the time of marriage, not the maiden name, though for divorced women, but no widows, the maiden name is usually included as well. In Margaret's case it appears she probably had children with Bito from some time before the marriage, and may have been using the surname - hence the 3 surnames recorded. Further evidence that she was using the surname Agatha before her second marriage is that the 1939 register appears to have been updated from Brislen to Agatha on 11 Dec 1946 ('11.12.46'). The initial letter of Bito's 2nd middle name is unclear, but I think a 'C' joined up rather than an 'O'. This would agree with other 'emigration' type documents (referred to on a couple of other trees - will have to wait till I have a world subscription to Ancestry or possibly FMP to check for myself)
