      Charles Alfred Rowland (7), of Avondale-road, Southport, was knocked down last night at the junction of the promenade and Albany-road, not far from his home, by a motor-car.
      He was taken in the police ambulance to Southport Infirmary, but on arrival was found to be dead. The body was removed to the mortuary."
