Davis Curate" - under heading 'Baptisms ... Wolborough ... 1849' Baptised the same day as her brother William Henry. Three others, each with different parents, baptised the same day, all with abode 'Union House' (i.e. the workhouse).   Unusually for baptisms of children that weren't babies no ages or date of birth given. The date of birth (or age) had presumably been recorded in the past because a priest could be asked for evidence of someone's age e.g. for admission of a child to a charity school. However, by 1858 births had been registered for some 21 years so I guess the same need was not there.
