Notes - I think he was the Richard Jacobs living with a Lilian E Jacobs, both shown as 'm'arried in the 1939 register so appearing to be a married couple, although no marriage can be found in the BMD index for England and Wales. However, his will was proved by a spinster Lilian Emily Jacobs, so I think that Richard and Emily were living as a married couple.

Married Jun Q 1900 Fulham Reg Dist, London, England
- GRO ref: Jacobs, Richard to Palmer, Annie q2 1900 Fulham RD 1a 654
Not surprisingly only the one child with them in the 1901 census, still just the same one in 1921, but had any been born and left home or died in the meantime? I can't find the family in the 1911 census, so have to rely on the BMD index which shows no other JACOBS or JACOB with a mother's maiden name of PALMER in the London area.

Family 2 Lilian Emily FORCEY, b. 3 Mar 1900, Fulham Reg Dist, London, England
, d. 9 Dec 1954, 23, South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London, England
(Age 54 years) Married Between 1921 and 1938 - It looks as though between 1921 and 1938 Richard was parted from his wife and got together with Lilian, with whom he was living at the time of the 1939 register, and to whom he left everything in his will written in 1938.
(It seems likely Richard and his wife parted company while both still lived, and that is why he didn't marry Lilian, but it is possible that they were parted by death.)
Married? Not married or evidence to suggest they didn't marry Family This couple had no children together Last Modified 25 Feb 2024 Family ID F302395 Family Group Page | Family Chart
