Gender Female Died - No clear death registration found, none very likely to be hers prior to the 1939 register, although not found as Annie Jacobs in that. A possible in q3 1933 in Stepney RD, age given as 51, but by then Mile End Old Town had been added to Stepney RD, and a couple with an age suggesting born in 1882 were in MEOT in the 1921 census, so the death is most likely one of them. Another possible is one who died in Woolwich RD in q1 1936, age recorded as 55; again the 1921 census shows another Annie there in the 1921 census (and her husband appears to be with a different wife in 1939, with the children present some of those with them in 1921, so clearly the same man).
Of course she could have remarried after Richard died, or bigamously before as they seem to have separated (or did they divorce and Richard simply not bother to remarry? - in which she could have legally remarried prior to his death). Or, like Richard's partner Lilian, she could have lived under a partner's surname and virtually impossible to find.

Not surprisingly only the one child with them in the 1901 census, still just the same one in 1921, but had any been born and left home or died in the meantime? I can't find the family in the 1911 census, so have to rely on the BMD index which shows no other JACOBS or JACOB with a mother's maiden name of PALMER in the London area.
