Personal Information    |    PDF

  • Name Albert MITFORD
    Relationshipwith Teresa Ann GOATHAM
Born Abt 1841  Congleton, Cheshire, England See the place on a map and other information about it - if available (many more will be in time); also all individuals with events at this location
    • From the 1901 census where shown as aged 59.
Though most records suggest born about 1840, his age was shown as 66 when he remarried suggesting 1837 (possibly he increased his age to be 'older' than his new wife). This also named his father as John.
No birth registration found for Albert, nor any entry for him in the censuses prior to his 1st marriage.
The 1871 census shows his birthplace as Odd Rode, which is a hamlet / township / chapelry in the parish of Astbury in Cheshire and like the PR entry for his first marriage records his surname as Midford. This suggests he could be the Albert Midford found with mother Ann in both the 1841 and 1861 censuses; although these show Albert as born in Lancashire (1861 specifying Manchester), the 1861 census shows that Ann was born in Odd Rode.
