Would expect death to be in Newton Abbot RD, probably Wolborough where he was living at the time of the 1891 census and where his widow was living in 1901, but no death there of a John of the right age. No death registered of a John of the right age anywhere, so maybe it was this one, the only one in Newton Abbot RD between 1891 and 1901: GRO ref: Billing, John q3 1894 aged 57 Newton A. RD 5b 77 (he was actually aged 66) The burial was, consistent with where they were living, in Wolborough.
