      Despite the unexpected place I think this must be the death of this Jessie. Not only the only death registration of a Jessie Louisa Parker of the right age, but the date also fits with that on her gravestone.

      Maybe she had moved for safety during the war, possibly to live with a child, or to be cared for in ill health? Was she just visiting the area.

      In the St. Thomas RD of Exeter in Q1 1850 a Selina CASLEY married one Robert William OSBORNE.
