Alice JOHNSON
Set As Default Person -
Name Alice JOHNSON Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born 12 Oct 1871 Liverpool, Lancashire, England
- From the 1881 census where shown as aged 9
GRO ref: Johnson, Alice q4 1871 Liverpool RD 8b 48; GRO online index does not show a mother's maiden name, suggesting she was illegitimate.
Although her mother was shown as a widow in the 1871 census if this is true Alice could have been postumous. A father was named at her baptism, so maybe she was - or was Hannah simply naming her late or absent husband to make Alice appear legitimate?

Details from PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 27 May 2019)
Although George was with Hannah in 1861 he was not with her at the time of the 1871 or 1881 censuses, with the 1871 census showing Hannah as a widow. Hence it is not clear if all the children were really his - even where shown as the father in a baptism entry. Clearly Richard can't have been his son if he really was dead by 1871.
