- but gap between marriage and first child - was there another Gurndy = Woodcock marriage I haven't found? I don't think so. Samuel and Margaret A Grundy were living in Lytham St. Anne's at the time of the 1939 register, i.e. in Fylde RD where there children were subsequently born, and they had no children with them in 1939, consistent with the lack suggested by the birth registration index.
