    • The PR entry when son John was baptised shows that the although the event took place in Halwell the family were living in Ashprington parish. When he was buried later the same year it is shown more specifically that his abode was Washbourne Village. At this time there was a detached part of Ashprington closer to Halwell Church, which included Washbourne, and this probably explains their choice of venue.
