    Notes 
    • 3 "children" are with a William in Oving in 1841 who could be this William. The ages are a bit odd - not necessarily his children (could be e.g. dau, g'dau & nephew) - not only range (could be explained by others having left and out at work) but at 14 year old after 1 year old - hence my suggestion of a nephew.

      May well not be this William - a William Baken was recorded in Oving in 1851 - with wife Harriette and dau Fanny aged 11, but with Wms birthplace as Elsted, not Tangmere. Same or diff Wm as in 1841? Not found
