      The only other who might have been so described as baptised in 1736. However, a 64 year old John Cleave was buried in Widecombe in 1801. At the time he was living in Ilsington, so to be buried in Widecombe suggests he was probably from the parish, and was returned to be buried with relations. Hence I think the John born 1736 can be ruled out.
