Overseer - When nominated as overseer for the following the overseers accounts (for 1700) show the nomination as:
"Andrew Hammett Junor or the occ[upier] of th[a]t estate w[hi]ch he now occupies". None of the other entries has this qualifier; maybe it was because he was with his sick father, and unclear what would happen to the estate when his father died.
Whatever the reason, Andrew junior did serve as overseer: the 1701 accounts are headed:
