The birth / baptism shown here (birth date is from the baptism register) is the only one in the index on FMP close to 1606. Of course he could have been baptised elsewhere, in a church whose CMBs are not indexed there for this date, but Sellindge being quite close to Stowting where Thomas was living at the time of his marriage, and not too far from Elham, where his wife was from, makes this birth / baptism seem likely.
