Other Partners: Ephraim MILLS m. 19 Dec 1824Married Abt 1840 - I guess this George may be the George Whitehead who was the father of an illegitimate son born to widow Sarah Mills on 16 Jul 1841 and baptised in Borden on 12 September that year. (source: KFHS CD 21)
(I am guessing a date for the start of the relationship between George and Sarah)
Widow Sarah MILLS and her family were living with George WHITEHEAD at the time of the 1851 census, but George was shown as aged just 27, i.e. would have been about 17, b. c.1823-4, when son James was born. Unfortunately his place of birth was given as 'N.K.' (i.e. 'not known'). It does not necessarily mean that George did not know, if he wasn't present when the information was given. The age being a few years out for this George suggests it may well not have been him. On the other hand, Sarah's last child before James, also George, was born c. 1838 in Stockbury, where George Whitehead was born. Is it because the Mills family were living in Stockbury that George and Sarah met?
So far:
this George WHITEHEAD not found in 1841 census, nor in 1851 if not the one with Sarah;
no local baptism for a George b c 1823-4 (nor one locally born about then in the 1841 census)
no death found for Sarah's husband Ephraim
