Although Arthur would have been 35 by the time of the above death it is the only one between 1901 and 1911 that could be him, and there were no other Arthur Reginald Baker whose birth was registered between 1870 and 1876.
Even stronger evidence found in a paper,
"... Going into a barber's shop in Charing Crossroad, it was stated at an inquest at Westminster, yesterday, Arthur Reginald Baker, aged thirty four, a booksellers' buyer, late of Putney, borrowed a razor, and inflicted a terrible gash in his throat ..."
(from the Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser of 15 Oct 1908)
The occupation and place of residence fit this Arthur as recorded on his marriage certificate.
Other reports mention him going into a barbers shop in Charing Cross Road 'on Saturday' and as being a drunkard (on 15 Oct).
