with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised - A Joane [sic] Wood was baptised in Charing in 1608daughter of Isaac, - date and place makes this seems a possible baptism, as Jane's mother was of Charing when Jane married, but there is the name discrepancy. And seeing Isaac's will suggests he was NOT Jane's father.
A widow Margaret left a will written in 1639, proved 1640, but an abstract suggests she only mentioned a daughter Ann and no other children, so she was probably not Jane's mother.
There are a number of other wills left by Woods of Charing, hopefully one or more of these will clarify Jane's parents.

Very few baptism entries in PRs for Ashford between May 1644 and Dec 1648, with lots of blank spaces left, presumably in the hope that the omitted entries would be added later. John and Jane's children mentioned in their wills but for whom no baptisms have been found were presumably baptised during this period.
