Although the information was not required as she was a widow, the 1911 census showed that Eva had had 2 children (by her marriage to Percival?), both of whom were still living. Only one was with her, her son Percival.
Where the other was is not clear; they were not born by the time of the 1901 census. The most likely place might have been with his grandparents, but Eva was with her father, her mother had died and the child was not with Percival's parents. The only sibling I know of of Eva's was Henry who was with her and her father in 1911. Though there could well have been others born (there was a 13 years age difference between Eva and Henry) the absence of any others with parents Henry and Charlotte in any of the censuses suggests if there were they probably did not survive infancy.
Percival was from a large family and so Eva's child could have been with one of his siblings. Alternatively they could have been in an institution - at school or in hospital. A search on FMP in the 1911 census for a Keys born 1905+/- 5 years where there was also a 'Trant' in the household only finds the household Eva was in.
There are a number of trees on Ancestry which include Eva, her husband and son Percival; none shows a 2nd child.
The LMA PRs on Ancestry have the baptism of son Percival, but no other child of Eva and Percival.
I am wondering if her other child was an illegitimate child born before her marriage. (Searching for a Trant child, mother's name Eva Trant, in the LMA PRs on Ancestry does not find a baptism). Eva was with her parents in 1891, aged 17; no grandchild with the household. If Eva had an illegitimate child they were probably born between 1891 and 1899. They have been fostered by another family.
