  	Obviously there were many William Williams, although most had a middle initial. The most likely death, as a fit not just on birth but also on most likely Reg District for his death, is this one if, as the index entry for his marriage suggests, he had no middle name: GRO ref: WILLIAMS, William q2 1968 aged 58 Chatham RD 5F 135 There was also a William Alfred Williams death registration in 1991: GRO ref: Williams, William Alfred reg Mar 1991 dob 23 Sep 1910 Chatham RD 16 730 This dob is just one day different from that recorded as the dob of Margaret's husband in the 1939 register, which could suggest this was Margaret's husband, with a small error in the date in one document. However, checking the 1939 register there was a William A Williams born on this date with his wife Hilda B in Chatham, so it was clearly a coincidence, and this 1991 death was not of Margaret's husband.
