Jane BURR
Set As Default Person -
Name Jane BURR Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Est 1604 - I don't know if Jane was older or younger than her brothers, or born between them, but I am guessing that she may have been born in another parish, possibly that which her Mother came from, and this may have been done because she was the first. The family may not have been living in Marden at the time, or Marie may have gone to her mother or another relation for her lying-in.

Notes - (Research):Many trees show Jane as born in Lamberhurst in 1603, a couple in addition name her parents as Edward Burr (Barre) and Elizabeth Smith. Lamberhurst is quite close to Marden and it would seem plausible that Jane was born / baptised in Lamberhurst; it could be where her mother was from (there is no marriage of Edward in the index to Marden). FamilySearch suggests the baptism of Jane in Lamberhurst was recorded without parents names. There was, though, a John Burre who married a Jane Webbe in Lamberhurst in 1599, and baptisms of children of John and Jane recorded there in 1605, 7, 11 and 16. In 1601 and 1603 there were Burre children baptised without parents names recorded (John and Jane, respectively). It seems to me far more likely that they were the children of John and Jane than of Edward.
The trees giving her father as Edward, though, suggest someone else may have seen Willam's will and found her father. But when I look at them for the marriage I find it ridiculous - marriage to Elizabeth Smith in Yorkshire, his burial in Yorkshire (ignoring the Marden one), but having children in the Marden area who stayed there, i.e. the worst kind of tree, cobbled together from all over the place and resulting in rubbish.
