with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born - ** I don't know for certain her mother was the Elizabeth ADAMS as shown here **, but if Elizabeth had lived with Joseph or just had a child with him prior to her marriage to Richard it could explain the widow / spinster column being left blank, especially in the Bishopsbourne banns register where it was filled in for most. (Some clergy would regard her to have been in a marriage to Jospeh though without the churches blessing).

"February 2 Sarah natural Daughter of Joseph Renals and Elizabeth Adams was baptized"In general it is uncommon for baptisms to name a father of an illegitimate child, but in this case 3 of 4 consecutive entries in Bridge PRs do so (the others being in March and April in 1800). Were these putative fathers, who had been served with a bastardy order or were the mother's of the children living with the men?
If Elizabeth was living with Joseph it would not seem likely that by June she had split from him and was marrying someone else. However, it does not seem common that women lived with men like this and there being the 3 baptisms naming fathers I think suggests the names may be from orders to maintain the child. If Elizabeth was not in a relationship with Sarah's father it would seem much more likely she might have married someone not Sarah's father a few months later.
