  	From the 1901 census, where shown as aged 5 Why was Elsie born in Aldershot - did her father join the army for a few years? I did think the following must be her birth registration as it is the only one in Farnham RD (which includes Aldershot) in the period 1894-1896. However, the mother's maiden name is wrong. Could Brown be a mis-recording or mis-transcription of Barnes? GRO ref: Andrews, Elsie q2 1895 Farnham RD 2a 129; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Brown

Since both sons were still living it would seem that Elsie had died sometime between the 1901 and 1911 censuses, although I have not found a record of her death.
