Mrs. Anne Kezie Kellond, of The Arches, Slapton, left £8,051, with net personalty £7,523. Probate has been granted to William Robert Beer, solicitor, of Kingsbridge; Rev. Arthur John Mills, of the Vicarage, Slapton; and James Henry Harvis, retired farmer, of Rock Hill, Slapton.
She left £100 each to the executors; £1,200 to the children of her cousin Philip Mitchelmore; £50 each to Herbert Richard Wills, Gilbert Arundell Clemo, Herbert William Trowt, Mary Rhymes, Evelyn Finney; £50 between Leonard and Gladys Lambert; her shares in Lever Bros. to James Henry and Annie Jarvis; her shares in the Imperial Tobacco Co. to William Frank and Elsie Maud Jarvis; her shares in John Barker, Ltd., to her nephew, Arthur Kellond; her residence to Clarence Mitchelmore; £100 to Slapton Nursing Association; £100 to Charles Bellett Head, in appreciation of many kindnesses in the course of his employ; £100 to her housekeeper, Caroline Maud Wickenden, if still in her service; £50 to Horace Roper, of Slapton, who has been trained to earn his own living at the Crippled Boys' Home, Kensington; and, subjet to these legacies, £100 to Mrs. William Jarvis; £100 to the parish church of Slapton; £100 to Dr. Barnardo's Homes; £100 to Muller's Orphanage, Bristol; £50 each to the South Hams Cotage Hospital, Kingsbridge, the South Devon and East Cornwall Hospital, Plymouth, Dartmouth Cottage Hospital, Torbay Hospital, Torquay branch of the R.S.P.C.A., and the Crippled Boys' Home, Kensington; £50 each to Annie Jarvis, Nellie Kellond, Emma Mitchelmore, and Ethel Kellond, and any remaining between the homes, hospitals, and institutions mentioned in the will.
Died 1 Dec 1939 - Buried in Slapton with her mother. Grave does not mention her husband, and her father only in that her mother is described as "wife of ..."

The wife of Edwin Kellond (1841 - 1898)
Although both Ann and her husband were born in Slapton they married in Kensington Reg Dist, and appear to have spent all of their married life in London. However, sometime during her long widowhood (just over 40 years) Ann seems to have returned to Slapton, where she is buried with her mother. Her mother outlived her husband by 12 years, so she may have returned to live with her mother for company - Edwin and Ann seem to have had no children - or it…Patriarch & Matriarch
