Elizabeth PINN, b. 1766, Stokenham, Devon, England, d. 14 Jul 1847, Stokenham, Devon, England (Age 81 years) (Mother) Notes - Samuel moved with his family to the Paddington area with various members of the family working as builders and carpenters in the London area.
I thought that as some of the Slapton Kellonds (mostly sons of William b 1806) moved to the same area of London, and both families were carpenters / builders and both used the name Robert Henry (in 1842 and 1846) the connection would be quite close.
However, this does not appear to be the case. The above-mentioned William and this Samuel seem to have been 4th cousins - i.e. their closest common Kellond ancestors were no closer than John (1645 - 1722) and his wife Elizabeth, who were quite likely gt gt gt grandparents of William and Samuel!
With both families in the building / carpentry trade, and living only a couple of miles apart, they must have known each other and perhaps it was just the info. coming back from Samuel that London was a good place to get work as builders that encouraged William's sons to move there. William sold up his business in 1868 due to "declining business" so it seems his sons would have had to have looked elsewhere for work (see more info. on notes under William)
