Notes:
I'm not sure where Grainger Terrace was. It was in Cocken Civil Parish, and St. Mary's West Rainton Ecc. Parish, so I have put the placemark between Cocken and West Rainton, where there was housing near Cocken Pit (on a 1913 map). There were a lot of pits in this area, though, so this isn't necessarily where Samuel was working.
(Googling Grainger Terrace I found others seeking to find out where it was - but had no joy in locating it!)
