Notes:
The 1851 map, which can be seen here shows the boundaries as they were from 1837 until a small change, in 1859, following which there were just a few small changes before the district was roughly merged with Stockbridge District in 1932 to form Romsey and Stockbridge District. It was recreated in 1974 but retaining much of the former Stockbridge district parishes, all the changes being detailed here. The district was abolished in 2008.
