Laying submarine cables across the River Dart
JBH is the one with the trilby.
I think the cable being laid is that for the Higher Ferry in Dartmouth, though I'm not clear why an electrician (JBH) or the local Dartmouth Electric Company would be involved with this. Maybe because they had experience laying cables? If the cable being laid was the ferry one rather than an electrical one then it would have been in 2012, when, after being shut for 4 years, a new ferry went into service and wire ropes were used for the first time.
