Notes Married:
- There were quite a few Huits married in South Pool in the 1680s and 1690s, suggesting the family was established in the parish. However, the PRs only go back to 1664/5 so finding anything earlier will be difficult. The BTs may help.
The same is not true of the Nicholls family. The only entries from the start of the PRs to 1733 are for John and his immediate family (i.e. wife and children). In 1734 a Roger can be found having children.
It looks, therefore, like John might well have moved to South Pool from elsewhere, but I think his name is too common for any realistic possibility of identifying him, should his baptism be in any PRs that do survive.
