Name Richard NARRAMORE Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Baptised 27 Jan 1695/96 St. Michael and All Angels’ Church, Alphington, Devon, England - From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 19 Jun 2015)
"27 Richard son of Andrew Narrowmore." - under heading 'Janur:' and 'Christnings : 1695'
Gender Male Died Abt 1726 - I am sure that the Richard who was married to Alice died about 1726 - but was that this Richard? It seems probable.
A Richard Narramore of Chudleigh left a will said to be 'pretended' in a case in 1726. One of two others named in notes about the case by Miss Moger was of Ideford. It seems probable that it was this Richard, who came from Ideford and may have settled in the neighbouring parish of Chudleigh after he married a bride from the parish (if he did).
It could, though, be the will of his uncle Richard - though only if as a relatively elderly man (aged c 64) he married a young bride (young enough to have a child in 1727, 13 years after the marriage).
The pretended executors were Nicholas Thomas of Ideford and John Wreford of Chudleigh; both had married Elizabeth Narramores, assuming the will was of this Richard then Nicholas Thomas was (I think) Richard's step-father, and John Wreford his brother-in-law.
Will 27 May 1726 Dispute re 'pretended' will - The notes by Miss Moger show that citations were made by Nicholas Thomas of Ideford and John Wreyford of Chudleigh, pretended executors of pretended will of Richard Narramore late of Chudleigh decd to answer for suppression of will, at promotion of Alice Narramore, widow, relict of decd.
