Middle name relationship Surname of his mother's friend(?) Amy Macklin als. Mackeldon - In 1861 (before George's mother, Elizabeth, married) Amy Macklin was boarding with Elizabeth and her parents. When Amy died in 1873 Elizabeth was her executor. Clearly Amy was well known to Elizabeth but why Elizabeth would give Amy's surname to all of her children is not at present clear. (Amy's will to be seen - it may give a clue)
