There were 3 George Philpotts born on Thanet around this time.
Perhaps most likely from age was George Norton als Phillpott, the son of a widdow Sarah NORTON and a married man George PHILLPOTT, baptized in St. John's in 1682.
A little younger than Hannah, but that is not unlikely, given that she was a widow marrying a bachelor.
Another possibility was George, son of Edward and Martha, also baptised in St. John's but in 1667, which would mean he was about 44 when first marrying, this age suggesting this George was less likely.
The other is possibly even less likely, for the opposite reason - his young age. He was the son of Jeremie and Elizabeth, baptised in St. Lawrence in 1688, which would mean he would have been about 10 years younger than Hannah.
There would seem to be no evidence from the naming of George and Hannah's children to favour any one of the three. The index on FMP does not show any burial likely to be that of any of them in infancy / childhood. Also, no other likely marriages to be explored to see if they can be linked to one of the above 3 (looking at marriages within 5 miles of Margate on the FMP index).
