  • Wills (transcripts)
The will of Thomas Becon (1596 - 1659)
The will of Theodore's father, Thomas Becon
Theodore, like his brother William, was left just 5 shillings by his father.
This contrasts with the £50 left to their sister Elizabeth, £40 each to their 5 half-siblings, and £5 left to their brother Thomas, the only one to have started a family when their father died, and who may have also benefited from a marriage settlement.
Theodore might have been married - I have not found his marriage but his first child was baptised about 18 months after his father's death.
